If I don’t plan to teach, can I join this yoga teacher training?
Definetly Yes. Our programs are open to adults of any age who want to dive into this ancient science for better living, more relevant and important now than ever before. If you love yoga, are thirsty for a change of perspective, ready for an adventure, willing to put in the work and curious about yourself, these trainings are life-changing and unforgettable.
This is a wonderful in-wards journey and an opportunity to deepen your own practice and dedicate time to your self-growth, whether you plan on teaching yoga or not.
What experience is required for this yoga teacher training?
What is the daily schedule?
How do I make payment for 200-hour yoga teacher training?
A deposit of 500€ is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance is paid 30 days prior to start. Please read more for payment methods and refunds at Ayama Yoga Training Payment & Cancellation Policy.
Will I be able to start teaching right after the Ayama Yoga Training course?
Yes. Many of our graduates begin teaching as soon as they return home from our training. You will get plenty of practice teaching, including one-on-one, small groups, and in front of the entire class. Upon successful completion of our 200-hour training, you will have the necessary foundation to lead yoga classes as a yoga instructor. You will receive your intrenationally recognized diploma and may also register with the Yoga Alliance.
Is the training physically hard?
Will I have free time?
Of course. You’ll have breakfast break and an afternnon break during your daily schedule. And 1 full day per week will bw free, to relax, study, rest and explore the surrundings. Please expect to use your free time also to study and prepare for your assessments. Depending on how much you wish to take out of this training, the more dedication and involvement the more likely you’re to go through an incredible transformation.
What are the graduation requirements?
- Full Attendance of in-class Training sessions
- Successful completion of homework, In-Class and Final Exams in Anatomy, Philosophy & Theory
- Full participation in the final in-class Practice Teaching Practicum
- Completion of the Class-Taking requirement
The most important factors that influence your success are: attendance, attitude, completion of written assignments. Students must engage the course with an open mind; with respect for the teachers, traditions and their fellow students; and a healthy work ethic.
What is the attendance policy?
If you miss one or two days, you may still complete the program with your class provided that you schedule a private session (or group session) at some point during the program. A three hour private session equals one day in the intensive. The maximum number of private make-up sessions is two.
I have an injury/special condition - can i take this teacher training?
We encourage everyone to take part in the training however, recommend that you check with your doctor before attending.
Will language be an obstacle if English is not my first language?
No, all students are coming from different parts of the world, so English are most likely second language of them. The courses are easily understandable and teachers will help you in anything.We welcome all nationalities and languages, our material and lessons are delivered in clear but not over-complicated English. Please note anatomy and philosophy are delivered in English and so is the written exam.
Do you provide yoga mats?
Yes, we provide our Yoga mats, however, should you wish to bring your own – we highly encourage you to.
Do you recommend any vaccinations?
We advise that you consult with a travel doctor prior to your departure. Depending on your travel destination and duration of stay, different vaccinations may apply. For Greece no specific vaccinations are required, for India and Bali you may read more on the following answers.
What is your average class size?
We prefer to keep our groups small in numbers and big in love. Minimum is 8 students and maximum is 16. We give full indivisual attention.
What is your cancellation & refund policy?
We require a non-refundable €500 deposit (incl. transfer fee) to secure your booking and process your application. If an applicant is not accepted the deposit will immediately be refunded, minus 50€ for proccessing fees.
If you submit a cancellation or termination of training, this needs to be received in writing by us. You may email ayamayogatraining@gmail.com with your cancellation request.
Any refunds will be processed 30 days after receipt of your written cancellation in consolidation with the deadlines below:
Refund Policy (exclusive deposit)
- Up until 4 months before the starting date of the training – 100% refund (excl. deposit)
- 4 months until 3 months before the starting date of the training – 70% refund (excl. deposit)
- 3 months until 2 month before the starting date of the training – 50% refund (excl. deposit)
- 2 months until 1 month before the starting date of the training – 25% refund (excl. deposit)
- After 1 month before the starting date of the training – no refund
No refunds apply if you do not show up or if you leave a program early for any reason.

F.A.Q. about Greece
How is the weather in May & October in Greece?
The weather in Greece for May and October is similar, it is mild, dry and warm from 20c up to 30c. During the day just t-shirts are fine, after the sunset you might need long sleeved t-shirt, fleece or a light jacket.
Do I need visa to travel in Greece?
Citizens of the USA and most EU and Asian countries do not need a visa to enter Greece.
Which airport should I choose to fly to?
The closest airport is Heraklion Airport (HER) “Nikos Kazantzakis” in the island of Crete. But it might be more easy to find tickets for Athens Airport (ATH) “Eleftherios Venizelos” and add the short connecting flight (with Aegean, Olympic, or Sky Express airlines) to Heraklion Airport (HER). Another option to arrive on Crete island is to book a ferry ticket (viva.gr) from Piraeus port (Athens) to Heraklion port, travel time 8 hours.
The second option would give you the chance to stay a day in Athens if you are interested. Check the flights and book your tickets according to your choise, always keep in mind the possibility of any travel delays and give yourself some extra time. How to reach at Agia Galini & Tropica Club?
Transfer to Agia Galini: Tropica Club is 76 km, about 1,5 hour drive, from the Heraklion Airport (Nikos Kazantzakis). You can use local buses or taxis to reach Agia Galinii. We can also arrange group transportation by mini buses or taxis from the airport so that you can relax once you set foot in Greece. The cost of transportation is not included in the price.
I'm taking medications. I'll be able to get it in Greece?
Yes, hospitals and pharmacies in Greece have the same facilities as Western countries. It may not be the same brand, but you’ll be able to get the medicine with the relevant substance in Greece as well.
Vaccinations
Any particular vaccination is not required, yet it is advisable to consult your doctor. Bringing mosquito repellants, lotions etc. are recommended.
What should I bring with myself?
Most of the general items you will need during your stay in Greece (or their equivalent) can be found in the market. What we suggest you remember to bring is any specialty item that you can’t live without, like a specific personal care item or favorite snack from your country.

We highly recommend purchase travel insurance for this type of international long-stay trip. We can’t emphasize this enough. This will cover you for any disruption or cancellation of your travel – for any reasons such as weather, natural disaster, illness, accident or other change of heart that would prevent your attendance, medical care while in Bali, or loss/damage of personal goods. Choose the “cancel for any reason” option for the most coverage.
The credit card you use to book your flight may also provide some protection. Please take a moment to review our cancellation policy. We are unable to offer credits or refunds if you cancel last minute, for any reason, so it’s best to get coverage for yourself.

Weather in Neoria & recommended clothing
Each month of the year has something unique to offer. For your convenience we have clubbed months season wise with their special characteristics.
March and April – This is the springtime and one of the most beautiful seasons. Beautiful flowers and fresh leaves emerging from trees create an atmosphere of freshness and revival. Best time to revive your health through Yoga and nutritious diet. Among fruits, you can enjoy farm fresh Mulberry, Apple ber and Peach at this time. You can bring your summer clothes and some full sleeves clothes.
May and June – It is the summer season. Summers at the farm are much better than cities. This is the best time to enjoy in our open fresh running water pool. One quick dip each in morning and evening in its fresh & chill water is enough to keep you cool throughout the day. In fruits Chikoo is available right from the beginning of May and by May end Lychee season starts and you can relish unlimited Lychee directly from our orchard. Besides you can savor nutritious Bael juice & Chikoo shake. You can bring light summer clothes.
July and August – It is the rainy season and the arrival of Monsoon is a phenomenon in itself and lifeline of all farm operations. During this time, you can enjoy wide varieties of unlimited Mangoes directly from orchard. Heavy rains, moisture and heat are the main characteristics of this season. You can bring raincoat, umbrella and light summer clothes.
September and October – This is the autumn season days are pleasant and nights begin to cool again. You can bring your summer clothes.
November to February – Arguably the best time of the year. November and December are moderately cold, January is the coldest and February is mild. You should bring warm clothes, woollen, jackets and scarfs. Heaters during December and January are not provided. Woods are out and enjoy bonfire under clear skies. Organic vegetables are in abundance for rich supplies of minerals and vitamins through soups and salads. Woods are out and enjoy bonfire under clear skies.
Which kind of visa do I need to apply for?
Everyone needs a visa to come to India no matter from which country you are.
You should apply for E-TOURIST VISA. Be aware that there are many expensive visa agencies. The easiest and safest way to get an e-visa is by applying through the official website of India (click here).
One-month visa costs around 30 USD. It takes only up to 72 hours and is issued via e-mail. We still recommend to apply early enough to be on the safe side! Make sure that there is no spelling mistake or number mix up. If your visa has any minor mistake in it, you will not be able to get on your plane!
If your country cannot get an e-visa, you can apply at the nearest visa service center in your city or via post.
Which airport should I choose to fly to?
The closest international airport is the Indira Gandhi International airport of India in New-Delhi, which is approximately 300km from Neoria near Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, where the school is located. We recommend arriving a day earlier if possible, to factor in any flight delays and give yourself time to adjust to the new time zone and climate.
In case, your flight arrives late night and you want to stay overnight in Delhi, airport pick-up cost will be US$ 25 and a reasonably good accommodation at a hotel in Delhi can be arranged for US$ 40 or 50. Our travel arrangements are executed under the supervision of professionals and we are always ready with a back-up plan, in case of emergencies.
Cheap hotels can also be found in Delhi (Main Bazar, Paharganj area) for USD 10~20. From Delhi airport to Paharganj can be reached by airport metro express in less than 20 minutes and it costs less than US$ 2.
How can I reach Neoria (near Pilibhit Tiger Reserve) from Delhi and how much does it cost?
BY AIR. If you are visiting India for the first time then it is better for you to take a domestic flight from Delhi to Bareilly (city nearby). One way flight tickets cost around US$ 30. From Bareilly the school’s car will pick you up and drop you to school after 1hr and 30min smooth drive free of cost.
BY CAR. Delhi airport to Neoria (near Pilibhit Tiger Reserve) by car is a 6 hours journey. We have a transportation package for US$ 180 which will cover your airport pick-up, transfer from Delhi to Neoria (by car) and after completion of the course transfer back from Neoria to Delhi. One way transportation i.e. Delhi airport to Neoria can also be available for US$ 90.
BY TRAIN. Another option is to travel by train. From Delhi airport to the train station by taxi approximately US$ 15 then by train either to Rudrapur or to Bareilly approximately US$ 15. Both cities (Rudrapur & Bareilly) are 70km from Neoria. From there the school’s car will pick you up and drop you to school after 1hr and 30minsmooth drive free of cost.
Is it safe for a woman to travel alone in India?
Yes, India CAN be a safe destination. As with anywhere else, you can be unlucky or in the wrong place at the wrong time. But that could also happen in your hometown, or in a “safe” destination in Western Europe. With a bit of common sense and preparation India can be as safe as any other destination for a solo female traveler. In praticular Neoria is a very safe place because it is a decent traditional village, where people are friendly. It might be a bit challenging to travel by local buses or trains sometimes if you are never been to India before, as its very different from other parts of the world.
Will you handle travel arrangements for me once I arrive in India?
Yes, with advanced notice we will arrange transportation for you to the farm directly from the airport, bus or train station. Upon arriving in nearby cities (Bareilly or Rudrapur) the school’s car will pick you up and drop you to school.
I'm taking medications. I'll be able to get it in India?
Yes, India hospitals has the same facilities as Western countries, it will not be the same brand, but you’ll be able to get the medicine with the relevant substance here as well.
What if I get sick during my course?
If you are sick, injured or in need of medical assistance, we will provide you with medical care or take you to a western-style hospital (whichever option is needed). And in this case we will find alternatives for you in order to be able to finish the course.

Do I have to be careful about eating food in India?
All meals at the school are prepared by organic products which are produced in the school’s organic kitchen garden. The school’s stuff follow all the hygienic norms. Eating outside of school is pretty safe in the restaurants that the school will suggest you. If your stomach is sensitive, you should beware of eating street foods.

What about COVID travel requirements and documents to prepare?
- From 1st Jan. 2023 all international passengers arriving/ transiting from high-risk countries must mandatorily self-declare on the Air Suvidha portal.
- A negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report conducted within 72 hours of undertaking the journey from any of the high-risk countries must also be uploaded onto the Air Suvidha portal.
- The 6 high-risk countries are China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan.
- Passengers transiting through high – risk countries, irrespective of their originating country before coming to any Indian Airport, must mandatorily self-declare on the Air Suvidha portal along with their negative RT-PCR certificate (as described above).
- All precautionary measures instituted inside the airplane and at the airport (wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing) must be followed.
