Saurabh Chaudhary

I am the founder and lead yoga teacher at Akshara Yoga School. I have received my yoga education and training from the leading institutes of yoga in India. After graduating from University of Delhi, I earned my Master of Science (Yoga) from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (SYVASA) University, Bengaluru. I am also a Diploma holder in Yoga Studies from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), New Delhi. My academic interest led me to pursue Master’s in Business Administration also.

I have deep empirical as well as philosophical understanding of the Yoga system. I am fortunate to have received my yoga education under the finest brains, who have brought laurels to the nation through their cutting-edge contribution in the field of yoga. Dr H.R. Nagendra of SVYASA University, Bengaluru and Dr. I.V. Basavaraddi of MDNIY, New Delhi has been instrumental in shaping my personality. Under the tutelage of such leading personalities in the field of yoga, I have been able to gain command over the wide spectrum of yoga and spirituality. I have full command over ancient Yoga scriptures like Patanjali Yogasutra, Bhagavad Gita, Major Upanishad and Hatha Yoga Pradipika.

I have extensive yoga teaching experience with hands-on proficiency in yoga application. I have been trained in the therapeutic application of yoga by working on live cases of non-communicable diseases. Towards the completion of my Master’s Degree in Yoga, I conducted an experimental research on the efficacy of yoga in managing physiological stress in working executives of corporate sector.

I have also received training in Aṣṭāṅga Vinyasā. I am a member of Indian Yoga Association and a registered yoga teacher from Quality Council of India and E-RYT 200 from Yoga Alliance, USA. In 2017, I qualified the National Eligibility Test for the post of Assistant Professor in Yoga.

My passion for real spirituality and yearning for real transformation has bestowed me with the openness of mind and inner strength to explore the spiritual traditions that are foreign to one’s practice and culture. As a result I mastered not only the orthodox but also the unorthodox schools of Indian philosophy, with special interest in Boudha Darshan. He trained himself in Vipassana meditation, one of the oldest and less known paths belonging to the unorthodox school under the aegis of S.N. Goenka.
