The closest airport is Heraklion Airport (HER) “Nikos Kazantzakis” in the island of Crete. But it might be more easy to find tickets for Athens Airport (ATH) “Eleftherios Venizelos” and add the short connecting flight (with Aegean, Olympic, or Sky Express airlines) to Heraklion Airport (HER). Another option is to book a ferry ticket (viva.gr) from Piraeus port (Athens) to Heraklion port, travel time 8 hours. Check the flights and we recommend you book your tickets according to your choise.
